Take a dive into AstraZeneca’s Macclesfield office, a collaboration between Tsunami Axis and architect practice Taylor and Martin Design, this project was to reinvent the way the AstraZeneca team work and collaborate together.

The company found that a lot of café spaces within the building were under used and became dead space. It was time for a redesign to make these spaces functional and inspiring to encourage the AstraZeneca team to utilise them. By incorporating furniture that offers a variety of different zones, from booths for collaboration with colleagues to larger tables with task chairs for focused work. Our Home sofa has been used to create a few lounge areas, perfect for taking time to enjoy a coffee or to have informal meetings and catch ups with colleagues.

By creating these different areas to work in, AstraZeneca found that there were better opportunities for employees to find somewhere away from their desk to work and this really encouraged collaboration.
