Resolve

We pride ourselves not just in solving problems quickly, but in how we treat our customers throughout the process.

Care and Maintenance

Regular maintenance is necessary to ensure long term durability for any product, ensuring customer satisfaction. All products should be closely inspected each month and any loose screws or bolts should be tightened. If any item shows any signs of structural failure please remove from service immediately and contact your Frövi distributor.

Fabric & Vinyl
Please refer to specific manufacturing guidelines on the cleaning of a particular fabric, it is recommended that professional upholstery cleaning companies are used in this process.

Leather
Carefully vacuum any debris within the seams of the leather where dust becomes trapped. You can use a soft brush and then wipe down the chair with a dry lint free microfibre cloth If the leather is dirty you can clean leather with a mild solution of detergent and water. Ensure you remove any excess water immediately and dry with a lint free cloth For any colour matching or more invasive cleaning then contact a professional leather care specialist.

This Safe Felt reduces bacteria up to 99.9%, is effective against viruses, reduces cross-contamination and is easier to keep surfaces hygienically clean.

Screen Cleaning Options:

  • For dust – use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.
  • For light soiling – use clean warm water and a sponge to wipe away dirt.
  • For medium soiling – use an upholstery cleaner on the affected area.
  • For heavy soiling – use an upholstery wet and dry vacuum cleaning with upholstery cleaning solution to spray and vacuum the affected area.
  • For all options – it is important to test an inconspicuous area first.

Adhesive Pad Removal:

  • Use adhesive remover – please be aware they are oil based and not suitable on absorbent or untreated surfaces.
  • It is important to periodically examine your chrome furniture for rust spots and chips. Always use a good quality chrome cleaner and remove excess cleaner/fluid drying with a dry lint free cloth immediately

    Cork

    Dirt and dust can become entrapped in the surface of the cork, vacuum or sweep frequently to keep the finish on the cork as good as new. If the cork needs a more thorough clean, use a gentle, non-abrasive detergent – preferably one designed for cork – and a damp cloth. Spray the cleaner onto the cork lightly and with a dry cloth immediately dab the area to prevent the moisture from seeping into the cork.

    Plastic Feet

    Inspect regularly and replace any worn plastic feet inserts.

    Clean using a lint free damp cloth/ sponge rinsed from a mild solution of soap and warm water, buffed dry with a clean dry cloth immediately. Do not use anything harsher than a natural bristle brush, check every three months and clean as required using the above instructions.

    No guarantee can be made of exact matching of any wood items, and any variation in colour, texture or grain are not considered defects as this is a natural product. Matching of colours between different batches is also not guaranteed, as wood finishes will age with time and exposure to sun light.

    Beech furniture is exclusively designed for indoor use and should not be exposed to increased humidity.

    Wood products can be cleaned with a water soluble solution to remove any build-up of grease and grime (remove any excess water immediately).

    Wood products should not be subject to extreme temperatures, particularly, moisture and direct sun light.

    To prevent staining always use coasters for glasses, cups/flower pots and vases.

    Lacquered wooden legs and tops – Clean with a damp lint free microfibre cloth. Avoid using furniture polishes on veneer and solid wood oiled/lacquered surface finishes.

    Oiled wooden legs and surfaces – Oiled wood care despite having already been pre-oiled, as best practice, we would also recommend that you oil the furniture surface on a six month to yearly basis depending on its usage.

    Cleaning oiled wood: to clean the wooden furniture, simply wipe down with a soft, barely damp lint free cloth to remove any dust. Avoid using furniture polishes on veneer/solid wood or oiled surfaces.

    Only use a good quality oil to ensure the product remains protected.

    To prevent staining always use coasters for glasses, cups/flower pots and vases.

    Fenix

    A Fenix top surface should be cleaned regularly but does not require any special maintenance other than a damp lint free cloth or paper towel, please ensure no abrasive products are to be used in the cleaning process.

    • Using a mild detergent in warm water apply to top and leave until dirt start to loosen.
    • Wipe away any residue with a dry cloth. Strong Acidic/Alkaline products are to be avoided as these will stain the surface material.

    Useful Cleaning Advice:

    For the best results when cleaning Fenix, it is important to remember the following advice:

    • Although very resistant, a Fenix surface must still never be treated with products containing abrasive substances, macroabrasive sponges or unsuitable materials such as sandpaper or steel wool;
    • Strongly acidic or alkaline products should be avoided because they can stain the surface;
    • Bleach and heavily-chlorinated products should be avoided because they can degrade the surface.
    • Sodium hypochlorite should be used at concentrations lower than 5%, and for no more than 5 minutes at a time, then rinsed off with a sponge or towel;
    • Hydrogen peroxide at concentrations lower than 3% should be carefully rinsed off. For concentrations higher than 3%, we recommend avoiding leaving this solution in contact with the surface for more than 10 minutes at a time, and the surface must be thoroughly rinsed with a non-abrasive sponge and then dried well;
    • When using solvents, the cloth used must be perfectly clean so as not to leave marks on the Fenix surface. Any marks may, however, be removed by rinsing with hot water and drying well;
    • Do not use furniture polishes or wax-based cleaners in general, because they tend to form a sticky layer on the Fenix surface that attracts and traps dirt;
    • Do not use metal scrapers, iron brushes or any other metal tool to remove stains, paint, plaster or other substances from the surface.

    Forbo

    A Forbo top surface should be regularly maintained with a damp cloth neutral cleaner [Natural soap or waxes eg; Forbo Monel ratio 1;10] as required. It is important to remove spots, stains and spillages as soon as possible to prevent them from penetrating into the material.

    Recommended Care Products:

    For regular cleaning and stain removal use a pH neutral detergent such as M2 Care Ultra, a pH neutral anti-bacterial cleaning solution. For periodic maintenance Forbo recommend M2 Care Desktop Maintainer.

    Both of the products above are available from the Wrennalls Group. Please tel. 01772 435739 for further information or visit: https:// www.cleanerswarehouse.co.uk

    MFC & Laminate Tops

    Worktops manufactured in MFC or Laminate Surfaced Board, most types of stain can be removed from the board finish. However, general cleanliness is achieved by light dusting, or wiping with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains on the work surface use a mild detergent but wipe excess fluid from the work surface as soon as possible.

    Do not use any abrasive materials to clean the tops.

    General Cleaning:

    Clean the panel surface using water and a damp cloth, alternatively try a common cleaning agent WITHOUT abrasive components. Always rinse and dry the panel after cleaning. Do not allow the panels to remain soaked or standing in water for any period of time. Furniture polishes and similar treatments are to be avoided as they tend to create a film on the surface. If components have been jointed with exposed edges, ensure these are sealed using a waterproof sealant during installation.

    Persistent Contamination:

    Clean the panel using hot water, clean cloths/ paper towels. A normal cleaning agent can be used WITHOUT abrasive components, washing powders (especially heavy duty detergent), liquid or hard soaps. Wipe over the dirt with the cleaning solution, or let it soak according to the degree of soiling, then wash away with clean water and dried using either an absorbent lint free cloth or paper towels to prevent streaking. This process should be repeated if the stain persists.

    Cleaning Advice & Tips:

    • Contamination and potential staining should be removed straight away to prevent any permanent damage.
    • Rinsing with clean water and drying should occur after all cleaning methods listed.
    • Acidic cleaning agents such as: metal cleaner, toilet cleaner and certain oven cleaners should be avoided at all costs.
    • Limescale contamination – Clean with warm, 10% acetic or citric acid solution. After cleaning, rinse the surface with pure, hot water and dry with clean non abrasive cloths or paper towels.
    • Paraffin or wax residues – Carefully remove as much residue as possible with a plastic or wooden spatula, taking care not to scratch the surface. Remaining residue can be ironed off with blotting paper.
    • Water-soluble dyes, lacquers & adhesives – If treated immediately, warm water should remove the stain. Dried residues can be cleaned using solvents such as ethanol, acetone, benzine or nail varnish remover.
    • Solvent-based dyes, lacquers & adhesives – If treated immediately, solvents should remove the stain. Suitable solvents must be inquired from the dye, lacquer or adhesive supplier.
    • Two component adhesives – These must be removed immediately with a suitable organic solvent as they cannot be removed once hardened.
    • Silicone or polyurethane sealing material – Carefully remove as much residue as possible with a plastic or wooden spatula, taking care not to scratch the surface. The remaining residue can then be removed with a silicone remover.
    • Streaking after cleaning with solvents – The streaks can be removed by subsequent cleaning with hot clean water and drying with a lint free absorbent cloth or paper towel.
